Johnston Township History:
Johnston Township is located in Trumbull County in northeastern Ohio. Established in 1803, Johnston was named after Captain James Johnston, a Connecticut land agent.

Township Resident Donates Apple Butter Kettle to Historical Society
Jim Sunbury, a Johnston Township resident, donated this large apple butter kettle and paddles to the Johnston Township Historical Society. It first belonged to his great-great-grandfather and is believed to be over 150 years old. Thank you, Jim!
Johnston Emergency Personnel Recognized with Star of Life Awards

The Ohio Department of Public Safety and Emergency Medical Services recognized Ohio’s bravest and most dedicated first responders at the recent 2023 Star of Life Awards, including a lifesaving effort by Johnston Township emergency personnel.
